Employers are required to...

• Ensure the learner is working in a healthy and safe environment
• Train the learner in company procedures, and ensure they are assigned work which is appropriate to their training and level of ability, with adequate supervision
• Plan and record the learner's training
• Arrange a set time for dedicated training which should be a minimum of 2 hours per week
• Identify who will be providing the training and ensure they are adequately qualified and/or experienced
• Identify any resources/services not available in the salon and agree an alternative strategy to deliver these to allow the learner to obtain their full qualification
• Release the learner for theory, exams and support
• Work with GeTaHead Training to monitor, review and set learning targets
• Allow GetaHead Training to assess the learner in the salon, usually once a fortnight
• Where appropriate and available, release the learner to attend a GeTaHead Training centre for practical training/assessment, usually once a fortnight
